Rec: A Grimm and His Zauberbiest by DoomedOTPs

Title: A Grimm and His Zauberbiest
Author: DoomedOTPs
Canon: Grimm
Pairing: Sean Renard/Nick Burkhardt
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 30,259
Summary: Post-series. Adalind dies in a car accident and Nick & Sean are forced to work together to raise Diana and Kelly.

Recommendation: Nick has a documented canon propensity to catch feelings for the people that he shares a domestic set up with, so I feel like this was totally in line with his character. I liked that they slotted in together so neatly.

Rec: What You Need to Win by Jedi Buttercup

Title: What You Need to Win
Author: Jedi Buttercup
Canon: Grimm
Pairing: Sean Renard/Nick Burkhardt
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 11,400
Summary: Sean never had liked being moved as a pawn on someone else's board.

Recommendation: Uh, I love this so much. Just a little extra trust to go around and things are so much better. It was a very good point about marriage and childbearing contracts being a thing that would have to be common amongst more solitary Wesen. And just the THOUGHT of Aunt Marie arranging it, oh god.

Rec: A Foreign Field by ayumie

Title: A Foreign Field
Author: ayumie
Canon: Grimm
Pairing: Sean Renard/Nick Burkhardt
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 4,258
Summary: What if Nick had taken Renard into the Schwarzwald instead of Monroe? Could they have found some way to work things out?

Recommendation: I didn't like that they shifted Renard back to being an antagonist near the end of the show, I would have prefer for this to have been the way it happened.

Rec: Another Man's Shoes by JollyCat

Title: Another Man's Shoes
Author: JollyCat
Canon: Grimm
Pairing: Sean Renard/Nick Burkhardt
Rating: Mature [R]
Word Count: 11,950
Summary: Nick and Sean are enemies, an uneasy truce the best that seems possible. But Nick and Sean are linked by a spell and they should surely have realised that no spell is without side effects...

Recommendation: Just a little extra understanding seems to do wonders, though because it is them it is still not easy. I liked that the author also threw in a wesen of the week case to give them an excuse to work together.

Rec: So Let's Make History by Jedi Buttercup

Title: So Let's Make History
Author: Jedi Buttercup
Canon: Grimm
Pairing: Sean Renard/Nick Burkhardt
Rating: Mature [R]
Word Count: 27,000
Summary: Nick knew exactly who the scion of the Seven Houses in Portland had to be, and that small fact was threatening the foundations of his world nearly as much as Kelly Burkhardt's sudden reappearance.

Recommendation: While I really couldn't get into Monroe/Nick, I really couldn't resist Nick/Renard. I didn't like in the show that they could not seem to make up their minds on whether or not Renard should be a good guy or a bad guy (and when they changed him back into a bad guy they made him not very good at it either *uhh*). So I love him being competent and powerful while complimenting Nick's assured strength. They make a pretty good team.
