Recommendation: I’ve read a few “they meet their future kids” stories and I liked this one a lot because I really felt that there was real balance between Jim-ness and Spock-ness. Jim was a little emotionally constipated about the whole thing but one doesn’t really blame him. It’s not like there are appropriate responses to meeting one’s future progeny, although maybe Starfleet should look into that.
