Why This Must Be Read: This is structured as a duplex mission report, with Teyla's careful, culturally appropriate and diplomatic prose interleaved with Vala's (italicised) frank and hilarious "tell it like it is" version. As the report unfolds, we hear what happened to the rest of their combined team, which is likely to provide blackmail material for a long time to come! Clever, and very funny. Run don't walk, as a new Stargate Atlantis fic by

punk has just gone live! It's a collab where I did the podfic and cover art, and I love the story to bits. It's here on AO3, and here on Punk's DW.

In other news, I'm having fun inserting "mer" into various characters' names for Mermay art. so far, Merdurbot, Aquamer, and Steve MerGarrett. And I organised all my mer art into a series called just stick a mer in it (innuendo fully intended).

My Mexican Sunflower (Tithonia Diversifolia) is gradually getting more spectacular - visitors are starting to comment on it and ask what it is. Here's a pic.

I took that photo yesterday - a lovely, sunny Autumn day. Today it's cloudy, cool and grey, and I'm going to make middle-eastern orange almond cake but as muffins, and will stew all my apples up as the small red ones are decidedly underwhelming but if I add in the 4 remaining Granny Smiths and some lemon juice, it'll be fine. Used my manga TBR boardgame.

I know I wanted to read more BL last time and only got 1, but this time I'm feeling like more Yugioh, Kuroshitsuji, Are You Alice? etc again lol

I've decided to go through my physical manga and sort them into: still keeping, need to reread & decide and 'I need to buy the next in the series'. Instead of choosing a reward at the end, I'll pick and read something from my box.

A 7 and I landed on the CR title. I generated a 62 and landed on Gyakuten Saiban, but I'm trying to finish the anime so probably won't go finish the manga for quite a while. Regenerated a 32 and that's D.Gray-Man. Ye gods I haven't read this in ages, I hope I'm not too confused...

Is the game broken?? Another 3 ig. TBR tile. Generated a 716. It'sss Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun! And I'm happy to read the manga first for this one.

A 5...literally right before the end. Prompt: color in the title. Uhh I guess Red Raven?

A 7 and the end thankfully, my head was starting to spin... The manga I'll be reading from my collection is a BL Croquis.

Had an almost perfectly normal day - food, nice long walk, some video games, picking up the cat, all with minimal painkillers and no need for the ones that knock me out! I'm getting a Good Grade in Surgery Recovery, something that is both normal to want and possible to achieve.

(Realistically, I think this just isn't a very painful procedure. The incisions are tiny and I wasn't under anesthesia for very long. Still, let me have this one. I don't enjoy being on heavy painkillers, so while I was prepared to grit my teeth through it I'm very happy I don't have to bother.)

For my manga TBR challenge

I read Akuyaku Reijou nanode Last Boss wo Kattemimashita and gave it 9/10 stars!

I finished volume 6 and also read volume 7 of Yugioh, it was really good!

I then read volume 2 of Are You Alice? and am finding it hard to stop!

Then was the BL webtoon Evergreen, which I rated 7/10.

I reread volume 1 of Ame Nochi Hare next, I think it will be easy to continue now that I've re-familiarized myself.

Lastly I reread the last chapter of volume 5 of Kuroshitsuji and I feel ready to go into the Circus arc in the next volume! 👀
