He knew what Karen Page looked like crying and breathing – or yelling – his name, he knew what she looked like with blood on her, but he didn’t know who Ben Urich was to her. He kind of hated himself for that. And for a man used to self-contempt, this dose noticeably burned.
Recommendation: I love that this story emphasizes the importance of Ben, Doris, and Ellison in Karen's life. I feel like sometimes that is lost in the shuffle when the story is about Matt or Frank, but they are so hugely important to her development and story. Frank taking the flowers he gets her so seriously is just precious. Oh, and in the next story, Frank gets to meet Doris! So cute.
