Recommendation: Oh man, can I express my appreciation for stories that make that extra effort to have non-human characters have different genitals. It seems like a small thing but it really rather sells the whole ‘alien’ thing. Nog makes my heart hurt though, he keeps comparing himself (negatively) to human and possibly Bajoran standards of beauty. It’s not terribly surprising given where he grew up, but I’m glad Jake’s good at putting those worries to bed.
