Title: Steal the Stars
Author: MildSpinning
Canon: Black Panther | MCU
Pairing: Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
Rating: Mature [R]
Word Count: 17,365
Summary: When Erik takes the job, he knows that it's a trap meant for Ulysses Klaue. Isolationist Wakanda agreeing to participate in an African Arts Charity tour through Europe, displaying works that undoubtedly contain Vibranium? It's a clear grab to capture the man who eluded them in Busan last year. It may be a trap, but it's also the best chance Erik has of using Klaue to gain access to Wakanda. To find out what really happened to his dad. He refuses to let anything, or anyone, get in his way. Wakanda, and its King, have other plans. ~ Thief/Cinderella (sort of) Alternative Universe.

Recommendation: Heist movie! Except not really, but it was so good. I love how the changes to Erik's background come out naturally throughout the story and how those changes affect everything that might have happened. So good.

Title: Finding You
Author: Staubengel
Canon: Black Panther | MCU
Pairing: Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 17,243
Summary: Shuri was able to heal N'Jadaka's body, but N'Jadaka's spirit has already moved to the Ancestral Plane. T'Challa tries to visit his cousin there to talk to him and persuade him to come back. It's not as easy as he thought it would be, though.

Recommendation: This is so awesome! I love Staubengel's method of "fix-it". I love that T'Challa gets a chance to interact with Erik in a safe manner that not only allows him to get to know his cousin but also for Erik to advice T'Challa about his plans for Wakanda. *sigh* Talking, and feelings, and working together as partners. *sigh* I love it.

Title: Our Monster, Our Mistakes Made
Author: Anonymous
Canon: Black Panther | MCU
Pairing: Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 6,061
Summary: "I don’t want to live the rest of my life in your prison." So he chooses death instead. Death, as a free man. T’Challa inhales deeply, and prays for strength. "You have my word, you will have a fair trial."

Recommendation: I love that Erik and Bucky get to meet even if we're not let in on the conversation, but that's because this is really about Erik and T'Challa. And if they share a bathroom *waggles eyebrows* we know what that means.

Title: Bare Bones
Author: ElixirBlue
Canon: Black Panther | MCU
Pairing: Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
Rating: Mature [R]
Word Count: 3,296
Summary: Erik wonders if he’ll ever stop staring at T’Challa like he’s a sunrise.

Recommendation: Erik gets a chance to heal not only on the outside, but also on the inside. And if T'Challa is there to ease the way, so much the better.

Authors: Galaxiaa7 & mlraven
Canon: Black Panther | MCU
Pairing: Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
Rating: Teen [PG]
Word Count: 2,970
Summary: When T’Challa is born, his parents are pleased to see a Wakandan name on his wrist.

Recommendation: I don't always go in for soulmate AUs, but I do go in for them when the soulmates fall for each other without knowing who they are.

Title: Courting Danger
Author: Preach
Canon: Black Panther | MCU
Pairing: Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 19,093
Summary: "N'Jadaka. Cousin," T'Challa said warmly. "I accept your offer of courtship. Thank you for the gift." Erik froze. Courtship. What the fuck?

Recommendation: Just yesterday I had another accidental proposal, lol. :D Erik might not have done it on purpose but he is willing to roll with it. I love that Erik and W'Kabi end up bros (W'Kabi offering relationship advice *snort*).

Author: insincerely
Canon: Black Panther/MCU
Pairing: Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]

Summary: In retrospect, T'Challa should've expected this.

Recommendation: Oh man, this is great. Crackish, but great. T'Challa is so naughty, but Erik is the naughtiest.

Title: A Fever Wakes
Author: quixotesque
Canon: Black Panther/MCU
Pairing: Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 2,749
Summary: “This,” he murmurs into Erik’s ear, low and measured, “is where I would ask you to yield.” Erik spits out a defiant, “I’ve never yielded my entire life.” “I believe you.” “You think you about to make me?”

Recommendation: "T'Challa gently doms the hell out of Erik" is my new favorite thing. I really hope that this continues in a series 'cause this is smokin'.

Title: The Definition of Insanity
Author: MildSpinning
Canon: Black Panther/MCU
Pairing: Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
Rating: Mature [R]
Word Count: 14,016
Summary: Time is linear, there's no going back and changing the past. Any fantasies to the contrary are best left to children and bitter adults with regrets. Then again, Wakanda had seemed like little more than a fairy tale to a kid from Oakland. Erik dies over and over, but he's going to find a way to stop this. He's going to take the throne and kill anyone who gets in his way. Now if only they would stay dead. Groundhog Day AU One Shot: where Erik wakes up flying back into Wakanda after his final fight with T'Challa.

Recommendation: Groundhog Day AU's are my jam, and this was such a good one. Erik takes SO long to move on from his original plans, but single mindedness is definitely a defining trait of his. I love that he got to spend more time with his dad, that got me right in the feels.

Title: Isizathu
Author: black_nata
Canon: Black Panther/MCU
Pairing: Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 8,294
Summary: "What do you want?" T'Challa whispers. Almost like he's pleading. All Erik wants to do is wrap his fist around that smooth throat and make him beg some more.

Recommendation: Erik Killmonger reminds me so much of Erik Lehnsherr in that you get why they think the way they think and you even find yourself sympathetic to a point but their methods are just not right. I love the short span were Erik and Bucky are in neighboring huts, and Erik muses to himself that perhaps T'Challa is building a little village of defeated foes.

Title: Red Light, Green Light
Author: mardia
Canon: Black Panther/MCU
Pairing: Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 15,320
Summary: “Cousin,” Prince T’Challa says, the sincerity radiating off him like sunlight, as Erik stares in disbelief. “Welcome home. I’m glad that you have been found at last.” He’s practically disoriented, that’s the only excuse Erik has got for letting himself slip and say, still staring at T’Challa, “I go by Erik, actually.”

Recommendation: Nah! This was so great! They get to Erik before he becomes Killmonger, but that doesn't mean he's not still full of bitterness and anger it just means T'Challa, and others, have a chance to draw it out of him before it poisons his soul.

Title: 5 Steps to Peeling an Onion
Author: sabrina_il
Canon: Black Panther/MCU
Pairing: Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 6,104
Summary: “A prison’s still a prison, cousin,” Erik says, leaning against the wall in what he hopes looks like nonchalance but is mostly the fact that the room is starting to spin. “How long you think you can keep me here? Be honest.” T’Challa pauses on his way out the door, a step, maybe two away from Erik. He looks strong, clean and composed, with none of the blood and desperation Erik remembers from their last battle. “We’re going to do what you wanted,” T’Challa says. “Outreach. Revealing ourselves. Intervening in the world. It’s the right thing to do,” he nods, as if still trying to convince himself. “That’s not what I wanted,” Erik says. AKA: my take on the ~classic~ Erik wakes up in Wakanda and nothing goes the way he expects fic.

Recommendation: It would be a puzzle, what to do with an Erik that lived. I can't say that I object to T'Challa's solution though I can see why the other Wakandans were a little leary.

Title: Crime and Punishment
Author: manic_intent
Canon: Black Panther/MCU
Pairing: Erik Killmonger/T'Challa
Rating: Explicit [NC-17]
Word Count: 10,841
Summary: They don’t kill each other at the end. Erik was better with his hands, T’Challa better with his claws. That was the problem. They brawled in the dark until the war above them resolved itself, and then what were they meant to do? Erik had started it, the ceasefire. He hadn’t meant to. He’d laughed, because all the bitterness and hatred and frustration in him had boiled to a point where there was nothing left to do but laugh. “Now what?” Erik asked, days after and not for the first time. They were miles from Wakanda, walking.

Recommendation: It's May 2018, and I've only now gotten to see this wonderful movie. (I was super sick when it was in theaters, URI and it's sucked so much. I was bedridden) But now it is on demand and it is so awesome. And beautiful. And so fraught with tension from big issues like racism and isolationism, to more intimate issues of family and what it means to be a good man. Gah! So awesome. If you like Thorki there really isn't a good reason to not be on the T'Cherik bandwagon, and I've hopped on gleefully. Manic_intent, as always, brings something extra to the table. I love all of the details of Africa both the Marvel invented countries and the real world ones.
