Recommendation: I always thought that Harry was a criminally underused character and him being left out of the main action of this episode was one of the more glaring instances. I like that Harry's actions get to be seen in the heroic light they deserve and that Tom gets the chance to appreciate him. I also love that they take a little time after the feelings reveal, it really made it seem like their friendship really was the most important thing.

Recommendation: I remember reading this so many, many years ago (it makes me feel old quite frankly :P). The plot is something that echoes the "New Earth" episode, but Tom and Harry take proper advantage of it (i.e. all the gay sex). I did like the description of the time disturbances on the planet, I thought that was well done and a little terrifying.

Summary: Tom was sure he’d seen a movie like this once. The experienced friend, sex-crazed and horny, manipulates his naïve friend into all sorts of wacky, subtextual situations. If it hadn’t been made into a movie, it needed to happen, and quickly.

Recommendation: I've been meaning to rec some stories with this pairing, but somehow I've not gotten around to it until now. I was always frustrated with Harry's lack of development in the show and I think others were as well, I rather thought giving him a reason for things never working with women would have been a start. Tom's growth could have been taken care of with a friendship that morphed into a romance, while B'Elanna would have been just fine as a character without their lackluster romance.
