Recommendation: This story is my canon for Haymitch and Effie, I mean this to the point that when my husband liked the movies and wanted to know more because I’d read the books I had a hard time remembering where to draw the line of canon/headcanon because of this story. Finally I gave up and for the first time ever I recommended he read a fanfiction. He enjoyed it and though I know he’ll never be interested in another, I still I feel deeply satisfied that I got to share a little of my passion.
