Oh man, I had had so many good feelings about what I was going to do in July not the least of which was Sunshine Challenge. Literally none of those things happened because work exploded on me during the first half of the month and then. . . I contracted COVID. Despite having been vaccinated back in April, I might add. :P I was not hospitalized and was able to recover at home and am now back at work, but seriously, July is freaking over. Ugh. I have to hope that August is better. ~_~

Journal Housekeeping

I'm feeling that my stickys are pretty up-to-date, but I thought it might be fun to do a more "summery" theme for my journal and to set my default icon to Moana. (I love that movie.)

I'm rather glad they posted the themes ahead of time because, not going to lie, I'm going to have to have a think about them. Here's hoping I have time to do this though, it's looking like my RL summer is going to be busy and stressful once again. :P

Bonus: Magenta/Pink

Prompt 7: Violet

So while I know that violet and purple are two distinct colors for the purposes of this prompt I am going to use them interchangeably. Purple is often associated with royalty largely because of the historical expense of purple dyes (as well as laws enacted to keep it a royal color). Ack, I'm cutting it close this time but honestly RL got hectic this week and I just didn't have the spoons. I'd really thought that "green" was not going to be a hard color to find in titles (one of my red recs had it too) but it really did not turn out to be as common as I'd hoped. Initially, I thought that "yellow" would be way easier than "orange" but I was surprised to discover not as much easier as I'd been hoping. So my first thought was to do some recs with blonds, but really "blond" is not "yellow" so I returned to the drawing board. I finally settled on rec'ing stories with characters with yellow/gold eyes or at the very least one eye that is yellow/gold (care of our heterochromatic favs).
